It’s always good to put something back into your community........

STC-PR are incredibly proud of the work we've done to help to raise funds for additional school resources including providing a wonderful safe pastoral space for children to talk.

Often described as ‘imaginative, creative and a little bit crazy’ with ideas, The Friends of Redhill have, in recent years, turned their primary school into Hogwarts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book, landed a helicopter full of Hogwarts characters onto the playing field in front of 500 flabbergasted children, appeared on live BBC TV news, live radio and hit the Shropshire front pages.

They have welcomed the National Children’s Circus to school to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the British circus for a community audience of 600 and have been responsible for amazing Winterfests and Firework Finales for over 1000 people during Christmas celebrations.

In 2019 the team enjoyed the school's first ‘Redfest’, a festival style event for key stage 2 pupils, and ‘Secrets, Spies and Superheroes’, a community fundraising event which helped us celebrate 100 years of GCHQ, Code Breakers and the Bletchley Circle.

Over the last few years, The Friends have helped the school purchase Ipads, CD players, library books, outdoor furniture, interactive whiteboards, an outdoor castle and climbing frame, a carved wooden garden storyteller chair and sensory garden, and have recently helped the school lease a much needed minibus for school sporting competitions and after school clubs, and now the children at Redhill Primary School have an amazing separate pastoral care building for years to come.......
